Let me introduce myself...
Family:
I grew up in a family of five children. I have a twin sister who is my best friend. She is an occupational therapist. Although we have different professions, we share many of the same interests. I have a wonderful husband Spencer (the love of my life), a sweet boy Parker (the light of my life), and a dog Sunny (the spaz of my life)!
Interests:
I love the mountains, and anything outdoors. I love to do anything active. Some examples include: running, biking, hiking, swimming, climbing, boating, kayaking, camping, SKIING, sledding, etc. I love to read, listen to music, and watch movies. I have recently picked up the hobbies of cooking and gardening. My husband is currently teaching me how to golf!
Why Teaching?
I teach because I love to learn! I wanted to spread the love of learning to the little children I teach. Kindergarten is such a special year of school, and the kids make so much progress in such a short amount of time! It is such a rewarding profession to be a part of.
Educational Background:
I graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Arts (emphasis in Early Childhood Education), A Masters of Education (emphasis in Teaching and Learning), and an ESL Endorsement (English as a Second Language Endorsement). I have taught both 1st grade and kindergarten. Currently I am teaching kindergarten. That is where my passion is, and I am so happy to be doing it!
